Los Angeles is becoming a hub for coffee culture. Coffee shops are well designed, comfortable, and serve amazing drinks. This is particularly true in West Hollywood. When you explore cafes in West Hollywood you've notice a strong community feel, perfect interiors, thoughtful conversation, or people working away. We decided to round up the 4 best coffee shops in West Hollywood.
1. Verve Coffee Roasters
8925 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069
Verve on Melrose is a well-designed coffee shop that also happens to have some great food. They have delicious avocado toast, surprisingly good oatmeal, and great pastries. If you want to try out something unique, besides their single-origin coffees, try the honey lavender draft latte.
2. The Assembly
634 N Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069
Owner of The Assembly explained, "The Assembly is an independent, LGBTQ and woman-owned specialty coffee shop in the heart of the West Hollywood Design District." He added, "My goal in opening was to create an inviting space for the community where coffee serves as the invitation to gather and engage in meaningful conversation and exchange."
When you arrive at The Assembly you'll instantly feel the sense of community. There's great art, thanks to their Artist-in-Residence program, on-site collaboration with local landscape company Plant Ground Bloom, and the Poketo retail section. We recommend trying the delicious and outstanding single-origin matcha.
3. Madison & Park
7494 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046
Madison & Park is one of the newer coffee shop options in West Hollywood, having opened in 2018. The design feels more like a living room than a café, instantly letting you know that you're meant to relax and hang out for awhile. You'll find great pastries by Cake Monkey when you walk up to the marble counter to place your order and discover a unique drink: the Rose Latte - which has a floral fragrance.
4. Dialog Café
Dialog Café opened in 2007. This coffee shop is a quant mom-and-pop family run operation that has grown into a true neighborhood hot spot. Owner Todd Ghazalian explained, "We now feed and caffeinate a large population of West Hollywood locals and businesses. To us, they’re all family."
The coffee, which is made through a collaboration with Stereoscope Coffee is wonderful. If you stop by and want to try a different drink than just espresso, try the honey oat cappuccino. It's made with oat milk, raw honey, espresso, and topped with cinnamon. You can order your honey oat cappuccino either hot or cold.
